Symbionts

As you approach an alien world, your spaceship encounters a malfunction and dumps its energy core. You need to retrieve it and return to your ship.
Unfortunately the atmosphere on this strange world is unbreathable, which means you need to don your robotic suit. Your robotic suit uses a creature in a vat of slime to create a breathable atmosphere within your suit. This creature cannot withstand the planets UV radiation for long unless supplied with constant nourishment. Fortunately this weird planet has some mushrooms which can be used as a source of nourishment, even though they smell like feet.
Be wary of any creatures native to this bizarre world as they may be hostile.

Use the arrow keys and the enter key to navigate the menu.
Use the arrow keys and the space bar in game.

Created from scratch in C/C++,  for the Open Game Art Summer 2025 Game Jam. 
Just over 4800 lines of C/C++ code, custom engine for this game jam.

It uses GLFW, Galogen and several single-file public domain libraries such as miniaudio and various stb libraries.
